  6. Bibliometry The list of journals and conferences is now processed. The SDU library has helped qualifying the items on the list The last update from the bibliometric committee (Christian Koch) is that we can expect to have many of the suggested publication channels accepted A project with special focus on conference proceedings is under way Mærsk Mc-Kinney MøllerInstituttet
  7. SDU Purchasing Policy Quotation from the SDU purchasing policy: “...The university purchases are based on signed agreements that are coordinated and rules in force for the entire university. It is the duty of the local buyer(s)* to honour the agreements in order to ensure that all purchases are done on equal conditions and equal net prices. This way purchasing is optimized with respect to “best buy at the best price”.” * A few members of staff. Mærsk Mc-Kinney MøllerInstituttet
  8. SDU Purchasing Policy For obvious reasons we need to comply with the university rules, so when you need components equipment of any sort (including IT) contact the institute technical support group: http://www.sdu.dk/Om_SDU/Institutter_centre/Mmmi_maersk_mckinney_moeller/Medarbejdere/Nyttige%20links/Teknisk%20support.aspx That is, you can contact either Richard, Charlotte, Carsten, Anders or Michael. 9. Observations We have observed that Equipment is bought without being properly registered Equipment and components have not been bought at best price (discounts not utilised) The SKI contracts are violated To much has been paid in vat and custom Lack of knowledge of inventory has resulted in purchase of equipment that we already have in house. Mærsk Mc-Kinney MøllerInstituttet
  10. Seven good reasons to follow the rules for purchase Compliance with SKI agreement when applicable Compliance with international shipment deals, VAT and duty Better service, repair and support on products Registration and theft marking of the purchase (easier to locate invoice, warranty claims, theft registration and knowledge of in-house components) Ease the overall administrative tasks: Reduce the delivery time - correct department each time (Campus or NBA) Enter into the accounts upon delivery and correct payment details Ease on follow up on credit card purchases Great discounts from some companies when orders are made through the same account Shared knowledge of where to find the best prices according to purchase history and experience (This applies to all purchases - EAN and credit card orders) Mærsk Mc-Kinney MøllerInstituttet
  11. A request to follow Staff members that so far have purchased directly from the Internet using the Institute’s Eurocards, are now requested to place their orders with the persons mentioned above, by e-mail, indicating name of company, price, item, time of delivery and accounting details. Conference registration and travel tickets are exempted from this request. Students can only place orders with the persons mentioned above if they bring a written note from their teacher/advisor listing the name of their project as well as the relevant item and accounting details. 15. Remember that: The first thing you do when you get involved in an application is to contact Vibeke. Vibeke will give you an internal application number, valuable help in the budgeting phase and register you project in the Panda2 database, which is mandatory. So early birds get a smoother flight.
