5. University Partnership Program • Select up to 11 University Partnerships; • Focus on meaningful partnership between social work program and child welfare agencies; • Address workforce challenges and opportunities through leadership, education, professional development and organizational change activities; • Include Dean/Director/Chair and Child Welfare Agency Director in the Leadership Academy for Deans/Directors (LADD); • May be engaged with other NCWWI components (LAMM, LAS, Organizational Interventions); • Be studied by NCWWI evaluation team to determine the impact of the partnerships and change initiatives Informational Webinar: NCWWI University Partnerships RFP | December 13, 2013 A Service of the Children’s Bureau, a Member of the T/TA Network

6. UP Eligibility • U.S. public and private institutions of higher education, including historically Black and Tribally-controlled institutions, with a CSWE-accredited social work program; • With or without Title IVE funding; • Must be accredited by March 1, 2014; • NCWWI partner schools and faculty are not eligible. 10. 11. Leadership Academy for Deans & Directors (I) • One SW Dean/Director/Chair and one public/tribal child welfare Agency Director from each selected UP will participate. • LADD will support the leader’s ability to lead change in their organizations with special attention to • Promising practices and evidence-based interventions • Agency practices related to recruitment, retention and support of a strong professional workforce • Change initiatives will address relevant workforce issues and support the success of traineeship graduates. 12. Leadership Academy for Deans & Directors (II) • Supported by partnership with the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) and its affiliate, the National Association of Public Child Welfare Administrators (NAPCWA) • Orientation meetings at NADD/BPD and through webinars for agency leaders • After orientations in 1st year, 2 in-person meetings each year in conjunction with CSWE and NAPCWA annual meetings • Ongoing coaching and support between meetings Informational Webinar: University Partnerships RFP | December 13, 2013 A Service of the Children’s Bureau, a Member of the T/TA Network

13. Expanded, Optional Workforce Development Initiatives • 3 UPs will be selected for this expanded opportunity for additional workforce and leadership development support.
