Current Status and Future Vision for Healthy Living at Denver Housing Authority

The Denver Housing Authority (DHA) is focused on enhancing community health through active design and innovative programs. Key health statistics from Mariposa show a pressing need: 38% diagnosed with diabetes, 39% with asthma, and high rates of hypertension. In response, DHA plans to build two active design staircases, an active living center, and community engagement initiatives. With additional health resources, including health navigators and education programs on nutrition, fitness, and wellness, DHA strives to improve the quality of life for residents of all ages.
