  3. VISION • Together we will build a world in which all the women are loved, respected and cherished, their rights are promoted and protected, without discrimination of any kind, where their safety and well being are paramount, and where, and where they can develop in health, peace and dignity.

  4. MISSION BMSS is committed to see that adequate food, safe drinking water, primary education, basic health facilities and family planning is virtually within the reach of every signal human at the grass-roots level especially for women and children ensuring that the poor the needy and the vulnerable live with full dignity.

  5. PRELUDE BEROJGAR MAHILA SEVA SAMITI (BMSS) -A non – Profit -A non- Partisan -Anon- sectarian Is a registered organization under the society Registration Act 1973, no. 44 and is based in Bhilai, Durg.

Aims and Objectives • To pledge for socio-economic empowerment of the weaker section of the community, Doth in rural as well as urban pockets. • To have sustainable development in poverty ridden rural and urban areas. • To improve the productive and child health (RCH). • To strengthen the women victimized by atrocities, exploitations trafficking and sexual harassment.

  11. START OF BMSS • Year 1986 • Under the charismatic leadership of miss Manorama Singh. • With team of committed development workers. For rural and social development. • Through open door to meet the Information and communication needs. • Training and capacity building. • Networking and sharing needs of self help groups. Presently, BMSS has recognized and crowned by the Govt. of India as “NODAL AGENCY FOR RCH.” It has also been recognized by Mahila Bal Vikas Tribal Welfare & Education Ministry for the wonderful & fruitful intervention it has had in the past 20 years in different districts of Chhattisgarh.

  14. TARGET PEOPLE Tribal, Poor and Labor class with special emphasis to women community.

  15. OPERATIONAL AREA Districts of Durg, Raipur, Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur, Korba, Jaspur, Bastar and Dantewada. PROJECT ON AIDS IS CURRENTLY RUNNING IN THE STEEL CITY BHILAI

ACTIVITIES IN THE FIELD OF: • HIV/AIDS - Health check up camp (Khushi Clinic) -Satellite clinic for STI/RTI patients. - Dissemination of knowledge on STI?RTI -Awareness campaign among commercial sex worker, TRUCK DRIVERS, CSW, MIGRANT LABOR -Counseling - Condom promotion through Puppt show and Nukkad natak

  17. (B) HUMAN TRAFFIKING -Rescue and rehabilitation of victims. -Providing legal assistance. -Awareness programme for adolescent girls and other to prevent migration/ trafficking. -Local advocacy.

  18. Promotion of functional group/CBOs: Activities: • Training the farmers on improved agriculture practices. • Environmental awareness camps will be organised at the staff and community levels. • Community trainings on leadership, book keeping, accounts etc.

  19. Education: Access and enrollment to educational centers Awareness prggrammes on education. Promotion of education to the child labor, street children, and slum dwellers. Opening schools in the project area.
