A Silicon-Tungsten Calorimeter for Jet Studies in Linear Collider Physics

In the ECFA-DESY study for an electron linear collider, we investigate a calorimeter optimized for jet measurements. Our analysis indicates that a silicon-tungsten sandwich design is the most effective solution for the electromagnetic component. This paper reviews the current status of the CALICE project, highlighting advancements and studies focused on improving calorimetric techniques suitable for high-energy physics applications, specifically in the context of linear colliders.
