  1. IVF Clinic in India The single biggest factor that drives people to seek infertility treatment abroad is the cost. The price of infertility treatments at Affordable IVF can be less than half the cost of similar treatment in your home country, even including the price of flights and accommodation in total cost. There are different phases to the overall cost of infertility treatments. These are following;

  2. Initial consultation(can be 6% to 10% of the primary IVF treatment cost). • Primary IVF Treatment(varies by country as outlined in Table 1): this process includes doctor’s fees for egg collection and embryo transfer, embryologist’s fees for in vitro fertilization, anesthetics, ultrasound scans, theatre charges and etc. • Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection(can be 28% to 40% of the primary IVF treatment cost): this is the process of creating embryos by direct injection of sperm into egg. This procedure is used for male infertility but increasingly common in standard IVF. • Hormonal drugs(can be 20% to 80% of the primary IVF treatment cost): Accurate cost will depend on which specific drugs are prescribed for stimulating the ovaries. • Embryo freezing: Sometimes cost of embryo freezing is included in the primary IVF cost. Other clinics can charge up to 20% of the primary IVF treatment cost, plus around 10% of the primary IVF cost per year for storage and between 20% and 100% of the primary IVF treatment cost can be charged for later softening and transfer.

  3. Disadvantages of IVF treatment: • As we know there are benefits of IVF treatments in pregnancy for infertile parents, there may also be health issues involved in IVF treatment. These issues include following; • Multiple pregnancies: • There are possible chances of multiple pregnancies with IVF treatment. Multiple pregnancies have health risks for mother as well as for children as results may be in twins or triplets are more likely to be born prematurely and to be underweight at birth. • Infection:                                                                                                                                        • The procedure when eggs are removed from the woman by passing a fine needle through the vagina and into the ovaries. There is a risk of introducing infection into the body by this procedure. Though, antibiotics and surgical hygiene can ensure not to let this happen.

  4. Success rate of IVF: • As with other type of fertility treatment, success rates in IVF decline once patients reach the age of 35 or so. Before that, IVF pregnancy rates at the Affordable IVF are around 50% per cycle. How Affordable IVF present clinics’ success rates is mentioned below;Affordable IVF shows a clinic’s success rates in three different ways:• The predicted chance of an average woman having a live birth if she was treated at this clinic,• The actual number of treatment cycles a clinic carried out and how many of those cycles resulted in a live birth,• Whether the clinic’s success rate is above, below or consistent with the national average success rate across all clinics.
