Research Program on Weight Management and Long-Term Conditions in South Yorkshire

This research program, led by Paul Bissell and managed by Clare Relton at the University of Sheffield, investigates the management of weight and long-term health conditions. It aims to understand the relationship between key variables from an NHS perspective through multiple cohort trials and studies. A large observational cohort of patients is being recruited from 40 GP practices via mailed health questionnaires. This project has received NHS Research Ethics Committee approval, with significant milestones achieved, including over 18,000 completed questionnaires and collaborative studies underway.
