C C C Important Notes • The English as a Second Language Supplemental certificate (TExES exam 154) will qualify you to teach ESL/ELL at the grade level and in the subject areas of your classroom teaching certificates.  • If you are an Educator Preparation Program (EPP) candidate, you must have approval to test from your EPP. After you have approval, if you are a first time testing candidate, you must go to the SBEC website and create an account and get your TEA ID.

  3. Get your TEA ID Number athttp://www.sbec.state.tx.us/SBECOnline/default.asp If you do not remember your TEA ID Number, access your account or select “Forgot Password”. This number is on the top left side of the first window.

  4. 2. Go to ETS to create your testing Accountwww.texes.ets.org Select “Your Account” and follow the guidelines for creating An account in the ETS TExES online registration system.

  5. C C C Paper-Based Test • Paper-Based Tests: Registration is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Registrations must be submitted on the registration deadline dates to be eligible for that registration period. If you have questions or need help registering on-line, call customer service at 1-800-205-2626. Check testing sites on document “Paper_Based_TExES_Sites” • Testing site are available in College Station and Region IV.

  6. C C C Computer-Administered Test • Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Registrations must be submitted at least 2 business days before the test date. If you have questions or need help registering on-line, call customer service at 1-800-205-2626. • Test schedules and sites for computer administered test are available in the online registration system. • The unofficial end-of-test score report issued at computer-administered test centers in no longer offered. • English as a Second Language Supplemental 154 offered continuously as CAT but still available on PBT.

  7. C C C Admission Tickets • You will need to print an admission ticket for the test you are registered and take it with you to the test center on the day of the test. Your admission ticket will have information about your reporting time and reporting address. If you have questions about your test center assignment, call customer center immediately at 1-800-205-2626.

  8. C C C Fees • Paper-Based and Computer-Administered Tests fee is $120.00. • For Paper-Based Test only the late fee registration is $35.00 and emergency registration $75.00

  9. C C C Application for Certification • Application for certification does not proceed automatically based upon receipt of your scores by TEA. To apply for certification, you must go to www.sbec.state.tx.us and follow the application for certification instruction. The application fee is $77.00.

  10. C C C 3. Quick start guide for test registration Once you complete your account at ETS www.texes.ets.org you can use this “quick guide” as a reference before you start your test registration.
