  4. 何謂狂牛症 • 1996年是英國牛肉的恐慌年。這是因為自1993年來在英國共發現了21位新型的庫賈氏病患者。一般的庫賈氏病大都是（約90﹪）散發性的，發生於中老年人，以失智症、肌躍症及腦電波的棘波為主。而新型的庫賈氏病則發生於年輕人，平均29歲（16～48歲），以精神症狀（如憂鬱，焦躁，妄想等）為最初表現，然後才是走路不穩及智力減退。其腦部病理變化除了與庫賈氏病同樣有海綿樣腦病變外，而特有許多含普利子蛋白的類澱粉斑，此變化與發生在新幾內亞的克魯症非常相似。目前由流行病學及實驗室中的證據，顯示很可能與狂牛症有關。

  7. 如何預防狂牛症 • ★第一種方案:徹底吃素,完全避免輸血,換言之,不能 肉,最好一輩子,都不要動手術. • ☆第二種方案:拒絕美國牛,特別是牛內臟,這會造成毀滅性的效果.

  8. 感想 • 經由這次的報告,不論結果好壞,都讓我了解到許多有關狂牛症的資料也藉此讓我提升查資料的速度.更讓我有成就感,希望大家都能夠喜歡做報告.
