Colossians 1:9 [And so, from the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to lead a life worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
  20. Fr. Larry HennesseyLiving is a contemplative act We seek to do the needful thing The will of God The life of charity We seek Wisdom from the Book From the other well-springs of contemplation, the lives of the holy ones By the might of His glory we can endure By mercy By the forgiveness of sins By grace

  23. Fr. Robert Barron “I believe that neither the polarized positions of either liberals or conservatives nor a bland middle ground between the two does justice to the dramatic truth about Jesus. “
  24. Evangelical Catholicism It is no longer enough to see the pastoral task as maintaining existing parish communities. In the 21st century, the pastor must be a missionary . . . Fr. Robert Barron “The expectation is to grow the Catholic community of faith in each parish over the next five years and to more deeply incorporate the faithful in the life of the Church throughout the course of their lives.” Msgr. John Canary
  25. The Mundelein Approach to Theology The authentic renewal of Vatican II and the New Evangelization are the guiding themes of the faculty here at Mundelein The Bible is the soul of the various theological disciplines Christology is the centering piece of the theological enterprise. Our teaching faculty situate their research in a practical context of their own theological reflection on parish ministry. A Mundelein approach might be described as where theological science and spirituality both revolve around a Christological-Pastoral Axis
  26. Forming good, holy and competent priests for the new evangelization Welcome to the innovative new curriculum of America’s seminary for an evangelical Catholicism
