About Visa 601 Electronic Travel Authority Visa or eta visa subclass 601 allows you to visit and explore Australia as tourism and business purposes up to 12 months.If you are a backpacker or a business professional and want to travel to Australia for a short time visa 601 is very helpful to you. With Visa 601 you can visit Australia for tourism or business activities suchas attending a conference, making business inquiries or for contractualNegotiations. Visa 601 is not a work visa but you can study or train yourself for up to 3 months in total on this visa.

  4. How long you can stay This is a temporary visa you can stay for up to 12 months from the date it is granted, or how long your passport is valid. The visa is granted with multiple entry. You can leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you want with ETA Subclass 601 Visa. You can stay in Australia for 3 months after each entry. The visa starts on the date it is granted unless you hold another substantive visa that is in effect.  If you want to stay longer you must apply for another visa.

  5. Include family You can't include family members in your application. If you want to include you must include a separate application for each member of your family.

  6. Apply from You can apply for this visa from inside or outside Australia. If you are outside when you apply, you must be outside Australia when the visa is granted. If you apply from immigration clearance, you must be in immigration clearance when the visa is granted.
