  3. Why are NSAIDs bad? • NSAIDs lower protection of the GI tract

  4. NSAIDs in horse racing should be illegal • Horses should not be running if injured • Breakdowns went from 1/15 days to 1/4 days • Starts per year dropped from 11 to 6 • Most common violation

  5. Why NSAIDs should have a threshold • Provide comfort • Reduce swelling
