Software • Xbox Live- Allows people from multiple locations to compete within one game. • Stereoscopic 3D – Allows people who have a 3D television and game to experience the third dimension. • YouTube, Bing, Skype, Sky. • Anti – Piracy • Windows Media Centre – Allows wireless streaming of media vie a network. • Audio Formats – The Xbox 360 allows the owner to play multiple audio types: The basic Xbox 360 supports Dolby Digital 2 and 5.1 channels for game play and video playback as well as .mp4, .m4a, .m4b, MP3 and WMA .

  6. Comparison • Both allow the user to stream media wirelessly through a network. • Both have the ability to play games and both have communicational capabilities. The Xbox Has a better gaming experience highly due to the fact it is made for gaming incorporating high definition and 3D gaming as well as high level of multiplayer compatibility. The IPhone however is made for communication as its primary use and so offers a higher level of internet exploring as well as the obvious phone aspects included. It can offer gaming but often less involving for the audience and including a lower resolution and often single player experience.

  7. Contrast • The iPhone allows complete internet searching whereas the Xbox only allows specific pre determined sites to be viewed. • Xbox allows for 3 dimensional playback.
