Personal Biography • Grew up in Carthage, Tenn. on father's farm, also in Washington DC(1948-1965) • Teenage years, collected rhythm & blues records, favorite movie 2001: A Space Odyssey • 1969-1971, army years in Vietnam • 1965, met Tipper at school dance, 1970, marries Tipper • Had four children • Names: 1973, Karenna, 1977, Kristen, 1979, Sarah, and, 1982, Albert

Career Biography • 1971-1985, Journalist, leader of issues, ex. deficit reduction, arms control, information on super highway • Defeat Republican efforts to cut Medicare • Re-elected, candidate for Tenn. • 1996, Elected 45th Vice President of the U.S. • Won Democratic Pres. primaries & caucuses
