History of Title 1 • Title 1 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 was created to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. • LA HISTORIA DE TITULO 1 • El titulo 1 de el Elementario y SecondarioActo de 1965 fuecreado para asegurarquetodo los niñostengan favorable, egualidad y opurtunidadsignificante para obtenerunaeducacion de altacalidad y alcanzar un minimoprofencia. Part II “State of the School” • School Performance Framework (SPF) • Four levels decided on points calculated from Academic Achievement (25 total points), Academic Growth (50), and Academic Growth Gaps (25). • Levels are: • Performance 60% • Improvement 47-59% • Priority Improvement 33-46% • Turnaround below 32% • The Academy performance indicator from 2013 is 55.3% (Improvement) • 10.4 of 25 points for achievement • 29.5 of 50 points for growth • 15.4 of 25 points for growth gaps
