  3. In my imagination . . . I see a new little wooden house somewhere on the outskirts of Calgary, you are in the doorway, you face all sunbrown, you stand looking at the wee ones, and you are plump, and contented, and the world is going well.

  4. Thinking about the letter If you were Elizabeth, what would you be thinking and feeling when you received the letter? What worries or concerns did Thomas have about reuniting the family? Can you think about the reasons the Roberton family may have wanted to immigrate to Alberta? What words did Thomas use that let us know that he is from Scotland?
