Objectives ofCONSOLIDATION • To CARE for the new believer, be aware of their VALUE to God, and ensure they bear lasting FRUIT for the Lord. • To produce in them the CHARACTER of Jesus Christ. • To KEEP in the church every new believer that God has placed in our hands. • To turn every believer into a DISCIPLE-MAKER.

  7. Objective ofVERIFICATION • To SHOW and CONFIRM the love of God to everyone • To MAKE SURE they have received Jesus and understood that he is now in their heart • To find out their NEEDS and show them that Christ can supply all those needs

  8. How to CONFIRM & VERIFY the new believer’s salvation? • INTRODUCE yourself • BREAK THE ICE • Ask simple DIAGNOSTIC QUESTIONS • WHERE IS CHRIST NOW? In my heart… • WHY DO YOU THINK HE IS THERE? Because the Word of God says so, and I believe it. • WHAT DID CHRIST DO AT THE CROSS? He died for my sins. • WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO TO BE SAVED? Believe in Christ and accept him into my heart. • INTRODUCE or REINFORCE specific teaching points that are relevant to the person you are consolidating • Fill out the VERIFICATION FORM • PRAY for them

  11. In PRAYER OFREPENTANCE,emphasize four things • Their NEED of God: “I need You!” • Their CONDITION: “I am a sinner!” • Their REPENTANCE: “Forgive me, I don’t want to fail you.” • Their ACCEPTANCE: ”I receive you and believe you!”
