Bachelor of Business Information Systems - Clayton • Application of IT to Business Problems • Main study areas:Business analysis, enterprise systems, business programming, project management and e-business • Industry-based learning program - scholarship of $32,000 over 3 years • 2 x 22 week industry placements • IBL pre-admission details available on www.bsys.monash.edu.au in August. Bachelor of Information Technology and SystemsInformation Management - Caulfield • New major for 2007 • Provides core information technology knowledge and skills and prepares graduates for careers as information architects; information managers; knowledge managers; librarians; content managers; information service delivery managers; archivists; records managers; or IM project managers. • Course structure This course combines a wide choice of specialist units concerning the management of information in organisations with core units at first and second year level. Bachelor of Information Technology and SystemsSecurity - Caulfield • New Major for 2007 • This degree will have a strong grounding in information system security methods; and they will be prepared for careers in areas such as wireless and connected network security management; application security analysis, design and implementation; and security solutions management. • Course structure The degree combines core first and second year units, with a choice of units in information systems security, network security, software security, privacy and the law, risk analysis and threat modelling risk management. All third-year students complete a studio requirement or an industry experience project that relates to security. Bachelor of Information Technology and SystemsMultimedia Games Development - Caulfield • New major for 2007 • Focuses on the techniques used for the development of electronic entertainment, from conceptual design through to low-level games engine programming, 3D modelling and interactive techniques. • Course structure This degree has thirteen specialist multimedia games development major units covering the areas of games programming, 3D modelling, creating narrative and artificial intelligence for gaming. The games development major includes two third level units of project work in a studio environment.
