  3. To the volunteers who gave up their time…

  4. To the faithful knitters…

  5. Thank you to the thousands of churches who prepared and collected shoeboxes…

  6. To the schools that got pupils of all ages involved…

  7. ..and thousands of Drop Off Points…

  8. ..and over one hundred processing centres

  9. Together, we sent over 1.1 million shoeboxes to children in need

  10. Export Figures 10.01.2011

  11. To places like the Crimea region of the Ukraine…

  12. To children like Vlana. She loved her hat and gloves set!

  13. Even Vlana’s Grandma was thrilled at what her shoebox contained

  14. To boys like Nykyfor…

  15. Nykyfor’s friends also loved receiving shoebox gifts…

  16. To brother and sister pair, Artem and Veronica…

  17. To some of the Roma Gypsy families in Romania…

  18. To the children affected by the earthquake in Haiti…

  19. Your love and generosity had a big impact…

  20. It led to colourful celebrations…

  21. It brought big beaming smiles…

  22. It even inspired letters of thanks…

  23. So from all the children who received a shoebox filled with joy, we pass onto you a massive THANK YOU!

  24. Please pray with us… Praise God that we have the opportunity to send gift-filled shoeboxes to children like Nykyfor in the Ukraine. Pray that each of these children will see beyond the shoebox, to the love and care that is spoken into their hearts. Praise God for all the volunteers in the UK and overseas that give up their time to make sure that each shoebox is checked, packed and delivered to the children that need them most. Pray that throughout 2011, at Samaritan’s Purse, we will continue to have the resources to bring hope to vulnerable children and their families in some of the toughest parts of the world. Mathew 19:4 – Jesus said “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
