  4. Completing the Application • Review the criteria • Be thorough & honest • Ask for “great” recommendations, ask early and provide assistance • Start now!!

  5. Don’t ignore small scholarships • Earning one scholarship can lead to others. • A $500 scholarship is equivalent to about 80 hours of minimum wage work after withholding. • Three-hours to prepare a $500 scholarship application equates to $125/hour pay.
