How to check out ebooks through overdrive

Discover the simple steps to check out eBooks through Overdrive at Lourdes Library. Start by visiting our library homepage and accessing the Overdrive section. Browse through our virtual shelves or use the Quick Search box to find what you need. Once you log into your Overdrive account, you can add books to your cart, which will remain for 30 minutes while you explore more options.   1. How to check out ebooks through overdrive Lourdes Library

  2. Go to the Library homepage http://www.lourdeslibrary.weebly.com

  3. Overdrive homepage From the start screen, you may browse through the collection either by the different virtual shelves on the right hand side of the page, or by selecting on of the many different subcategories listed on the left. If you know what you are looking for, use the Quick Search box.

  5. Sign into to your Overdrive account

  6. My cart The “My Cart” page shows any/all of the books you have chosen for checkout. If you want to look for more books, those in your cart will stay there for 30 minutes. Once you are done looking, click “Proceed to Checkout”

  7. Confirm checkout

  8. Download - kindle Now you are ready to download the book to your device. If you are using a Kindle/Kindle app, clicking on the “Get for Kindle” button will take you to Amazon.com where you can log into your Amazon account and have the book shipped directly to your device.

  9. Download - epub If you are working with EPUB books – you can download directly from this page to your device. If you are working on a machine that does NOT have EPUB software – don’t worry, the book will remain in your account and you can download it later.
