In January 2009, Oracle published a statement of direction for the Oracle Discoverer product encouraging users to migrate from Discoverer to OBIEE owing to Oracle providing no support and product enhancements to Discoverer. With Oracle pulling the plug on Discoverer, the users are given an option to either migrate to the on-premise OBIEE or the Cloud based BICS.
