  3. Cart Usage During the Air Show • Commanders and Supervisors assure operators are fully trained to operate the vehicle. • Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of assigned vehicle. • First and foremost, golf carts will be operated at the minimum speed possible around people, aircraft & displays. Idle speed is best around people, aircraft and displays. • When driving on base roads do not try to stop quickly and do not go around bends or make turns at full speed; the golf carts and Gators will tip over and throw you out.

  4. Cart Usage During the Air Show • Never carry more than the cart is designed for. • Follow operating procedures in operators manual/safe operation tags on cart (shown on next slide). • All means will be utilized to avoid driving through the crowds and to drive on approved roadways and ramp areas. • Always check your tires for FOD (foreign objects and debris) before entering flightline area.

Flightline Area • Never drive in front, behind or beside a taxiing aircraft (unless you are part of the Aircraft Escort/Tow team). • Do not drive between the wingtips of parked aircraft (unless it is designated as a traffic flow lane). • If possible, keep the driver side of the cart towards the aircraft. • Do not drive or park under any part of an aircraft.

  7. Flightline Area • Always set your parking brake when dismounting cart. • Never park pointing cart towards an aircraft. • If equipped with a seatbelt you must wear it. • Do not tow or push anything with a golf cart.
