  4. How do I create an audio podcast? THE PLAN • SCRIPT: What you will say. • TIMING: How long? DEFININTIONS VOICE OVER: The Narration. MUSIC BED: An audio soundtrack that is played at the same time as a voice over. Music volume is lowered to allow voice over to be intelligible.

  8. How do I create an audio podcast? THE PROCESS • RECORD AUDIO YOU WILL NEED: • MICROPHONE • COMPUTER • AUDACITY (or other capture software) As an alternative, you can record audio with an audio recording device. For example, a hand held voice recorder.

What’s Next? • Request a Course Page @ http://itunes.ithaca.edu • Work with Digital Media Services to Create a Course Icon • Create or Insert Meta Data • Upload Content to iTunes U DEFINITION Meta Data: Information which describes a file’s contents, such as title, author & genre. Meta Data, specifically ID-3 tags, can be added to audio podcasts in Audacity during the export process. The iTunes application can be used to add meta data to video and audio podcasts after import.
