  1. The Pastoral Search Committee (PSC) • Chair – Jeffrey Timmer • Vice Chair – Steve Toegel • Secretary – Sharon Cook • Members – Rachel Croteau, Jim Funk, Nancy Karlson, Nate Manlove, Nita Oftedahl, and Mark Pride

  2. PSC • Objective: To prayerfully discern, identify, and recommend a candidate to the congregation for approval. In addition, the PSC is to facilitate the process between the pastoral candidate and the congregation in discerning whether God is calling them to partner for ministry. • Prayer Team: People willing to intentionally set aside time to keep the search process in prayer • (PSC liason – Rachel Croteau)

  3. Phases of the Search Process • Search Committee / Team Organization (Partially Completed) • Information Gathering Phase: Survey the congregation, gather information, & complete the church profile. (End of the year 2012) • Contact Phase (Early Spring 2013) • Candidating Phase (Early Spring/Late Spring 2013) • The Call (Late Spring/Early Summer 2013) • Commitment Phase (Early Summer/Summer 2013) • New Pastoral Ministry Begins(Fall 2013)

  4. Updates • PSC Updates will be made through the bulletin, the weekly MCC email, the monthly MCC newsletter, as well as the MCC website, and periodic announcements within the church service. • I will be in the back of the sanctuary after the service to answer questions at this time.
