Thematic Programme “Non State Actors and Local Authorities in Development” (1) Main elements of programme • DCI Article 14 - legal base • Successor to NGO co-financing and decentralised cooperation programmes • Eligibility: non-profit making NSA and LA from EU and Partner Countries • At least 85% funding reserved for NSA • Account to be taken of LA contributing capacity

Thematic Programme “Non State Actors and Local Authorities in Development” (2) Overarching Objective: Strengthen capacity building of NSA + LA in policy making process Specific Objectives: • Promote inclusive and empowered society in developing countries + regions • Increase awareness of development issues and promote development education in EU + acceding countries • Coordination between stakeholders’ networks, within their organisations and with Community institutions
