The role of the CLUSTER Concentrating efforts and maximising critical mass Creating real European added value in support of European policy making towards mobilising research optimising scientific networking and co-ordination exchanging information, incl. cross-cutting issues monitoring strategic progress of projects under the Cluster exploiting and disseminating activities/results of projects Identifying highest priority research topics in this field Improving links with policies and schemes of national and regional authorities of other European actors of international bodies and international relationship

Cluster “Integration of RES+DG” • Vision: • A major contribution coming from RER and DG to the European electric energy network within the first quarter of this century. • Mission: • Facilitate the integration of RES and DG into the future European electric energy network • Create a competitive European Industry for a sustainable and reliable future power supply. • Strategy: • Identifying and enhancing current efforts • Monitor relevant activities inside and outside the EU. • Recommend actions for increasing the contribution of DER.
