  3. Simplifying Shape • All shape can be generated from a combination of a basic block shape;

  4. Details will give drawings a more vivid and realistic appearance

  5. Guideline used to construct a shape will also be helpful to the reader of your drawing, as they provide extra visual information about shape.

  9. Shading • Usually, a shadow cast on the floor is drawn darker than its casting on a wall. • Use different tone value and its relative – use one of the darkest tones in a drawing

  10. Light Direction & Cast Shadow • The light direction is chosen to create the appropriate contrast and size of shadows;
