My Computer. The creation of a PC for under $1500. The Case. I chose an Apevia X-Cruiser Black Steel for my case at $50. This case is well ventilated to keep the computer cool. It has plenty of room to add new parts to the computer.

  1. My Computer The creation of a PC for under $1500

  2. The Case • I chose an Apevia X-Cruiser Black Steel for my case at $50. • This case is well ventilated to keep the computer cool. • It has plenty of room to add new parts to the computer. • This is uses a filter to keep dust from building up inside the case (keeps it looking good). • Running Total $50

  3. The Power Supply • I’m goiqng to use the COOLMAX CTG-750 ATX12V 750W Power Supply for $155. • This power supply has a high power output which lets you add lots of parts onto your computer. • Running Total $205

  4. The Motherboard • I decided to use an EVGA 122-CK-NF67-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i for my motherboard at $170 • This motherboard can support SLI which is where you use two Graphics Cards at once. This allows you to add another card when it is time to upgrade. • It is compatible with most new processors which is awesome. • This also supports up to 8gb of RAM. Which will give me room to upgrade in the future. • I have to check to make sure all the other parts are compatible with this. • Running Total $375

  5. The Processor • The processor I wanted to use was Intel Pentium D 950 Presler 3.4GHz 2 x 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 for $250 • I had to make sure that this was compatible with my motherboard, it was. • This is blazing fast so it will be able to handle almost everything you throw at it. • Running Total $625

  6. RAM • I wanted to get a good amount of RAM so I chose to use Patriot eXtreme Performance 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 800 Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory for $137. • This is good high performance RAM which is just what I wanted. • This came as two 1gb sticks which was a great deal for the price. • Running Total $762

  7. The Hard Drive • I chose the Seagate Barracuda ES ST3250620NS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive at $87. • This has lots of memory so you will most likely not run out of room to store files. • I chose this one because it was pretty fast and had plenty of storage for the price. • Running Total $849

  8. The CD/DVD Drive • I’m going to use the LG USB 2.0 External DVD Burner Model GSA-2166D that costs $70. • This can burn DVDs and CDs, YAY! • It’s external which makes it easy to access. • Running Total $919

  9. The Video Card • The card I’m using is the MSI GeForce 7900GS 512MB for $190. • This is a great video card, it is perfect for gaming. • This card is a great deal. • Running Total $1109

  10. The Sound Card • I chose the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card, it costs $29. • It was cheap!!! • This card can handle anything that I will throw at it. • It beats the heck out of onboard sound. • Running Total $1138

  11. The Operating System • I decided to get Windows Vista Home Premium for $110. • This is the most recent operating system. • My computer meets all the requirements for this system. • Running Total $1248

  12. The Monitor • I chose the ViewSonic Black 20” Widescreen LCD Monitor for $200. • This is an HD monitor, so it will look good running with my video card. • It’s big, YAY!!! • Running Total $1448

  13. The Speakers (headphones) • I didn’t have much money left, so I chose PLANTRONICS Supra-aural Headset for $40. • These headphones have a microphone for gaming. • Running Total $1488

  14. The Mouse and Keyboard • I got the Apevia mouse and keyboard combo pack, it was $20. • This was really cheap. • Running Total $1508(over) • I got a $8 loan from Mr. Hurt ( he charges lots of interest, 130%).
