Research Contributions in Public Health and HIV/AIDS Among Vulnerable Populations

Dr. Shu-Yu Lyu, an Associate Professor at TMU's School of Public Health, has made significant contributions to understanding HIV/AIDS and related health issues among vulnerable groups. Notable publications include studies on the acceptability of rapid HIV testing among male injection drug users, the prevalence of suicidal ideation among HIV-infected male inmates, and psychiatric morbidity in HIV-positive male prisoners. Dr. Lyu directs the Indigenous Health Research Center and has worked on various health service evaluations and gender differences in disaster perception and drug abuse research.
