  1. A Brief Guide on MLA Referencing Style Referencing itself is complicated, let alone following a specific referencing style like MLA. Students, who do not know the specific guideline of MLA referencing style, have a hard time citing their source. If you are having a problem with understanding MLA format, you will find the blog to be extremely useful. While students prefer using MLA referencing generator, they are not always 100% accurate. So it is always better to check the format before you submit your academic paper to your professor. In this blog, we are going to discuss how to format different sections in your paper using MLA 8 format.  Header For your header, you must begin one inch from the top of the first page and move with the left margin. Use separate lines for writing your name, instructor’s name, the course number and date. And, you must ensure that you leave double spaces in between them. Never bold, underline or write the title in capital letters. You may italicize certain words or phrases if required. Do not place a period after the title or after any headings. You must leave double space between the title and the first lines of the text.  Choice of papers When you are printing your paper, make sure you use white paper only, Make sure to choose a high quality paper with a size of 8 ½ by 11 inches.  Title page Since there are no specific instructions for developing an MLA title page, it’s better to use an MLA header. However, in case your teacher/professor asks you to create a standalone title page but did not provide any specific suggestions, here are a few suggestions for you.  The title must be at the center of the page. You must not italicize, bold, use quotation marks or capitalize the letters of the title. However, you are recommended to use italics for titles of any sources in the title of your papers.  It should follow the proper title case form. So you must capitalize the first letter of the title, the first letter of the last word and first letter of any nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs.  Use double space for the entire paper.  You must keep the font size at 12 ppt.  Paragraphs Ensure you indent the first word in every paragraph. Start every sentence one-half inch from the left margin. Just use the tab button to create a half-inch. Your paragraphs should also be double spaced. MLA citation machine will surely help you format your title page quickly.
