  1. Fantastic Facts About Dinosaurs No One Told You While it’s a common knowledge that dinosaurs were quite big, some had feathers and were extinct 65 million years ago, but there are so many things that you don’t know! If you are someone fascinated with dinosaurs and are looking for the real dinosaur bones for sale, then first you should know some interesting facts about them. We have pulled together a list of some of the most unknown facts about your favorite dinosaurs. Let’s check them out! 1.They were not the first reptiles to rule on earth The first dinosaurs evolved during the late Triassic period which is about 230 million years ago in the supercontinent of Pangea. Before then the dominant land reptiles were the archosaurs, therapsids, and pelycosaurs. Millions of years after the dinosaurs evolved, the most fearsome reptiles were the pre-historic crocodiles. It was actually at the beginning of the Jurassic period, 200 million years ago that dinosaurs began to rise to dominance. 2.Their kingdom comprised two main branches Although you may think that it is wise to divide dinosaurs into herbivores and carnivores but the paleontologists do things differently. They divided the species between the saurischian,

  2. which is lizard-hipped, and ornithischian, that is bird-hipped. The saurischian dinosaurs included both carnivorous and herbivorous while ornithischians included the plant-eating dinosaurs. 3.They all didn’t go extinct at the same time When the meteor affected the Yucatán Peninsula about 65 million years ago, the end result was not a huge fireball that immediately burned and destroyed all the dinosaurs and marine reptiles on Earth. Instead of this, the whole process of extinction continued for hundreds, and thousands of years, as diving global temperatures, reduced sunlight, and as a result, the lack of vegetation greatly changed the food chain from the bottom up. While some of the isolated dinosaur populations may have survived a little longer than the others, but it is obviously a real fact that they are not alive today. 4.Not all dinosaurs were big Contrary to what many people believe, not all dinosaurs were that big. The reality is that some dinosaurs such as the Compsognathus were actually about the same size as that of a chicken! Moreover, many dinosaurs were no huge than the size of a car which makes them equal to the size of a rhino and some other modern mammals like this. There are so many more interesting facts about the long-extinct dinosaurs that we are still discovering. If you love them, look for the real dinosaur bones for sale.
