  1. Graphical analysis Stat 261 lab # 1

  2. Example 1: Solve the following Lp model by graphical? Maximize Z= 5X1+4X2 Subject to 6X1+4X2 ≤ 4 X1+2X2 ≤ 6 -X1+X2 ≤ 1 X2 ≤ 2 X1,X2≥0

  3. Solution • Using Tora package we can graph the previous LP model as follows: • Step 1:1- Open Tora and select linear programming - click on go to input screen – enter number of variables and number of constraints – then we get .

  4. Step 2:Click enter to obtain table then enter the coefficients of the objective and constraints as follows:

  5. Step 3: click on solve menu icon and select from menu solve problem graphically then we get the following results:

  6. To graph LP model click on each constraint and objective . • The last graph show that the feasible solution space and the optimum solution at point intersection between 1 and 2 lines • The optimum solution when Z=21 at X1=3.00 and X2=1.50
