  1. Dogs in Militaryby Brandon and Julian We did a report on something that you might not usually think about when someone brings up the Army. Dogs are really important to the military. They’re important to the military because they sniff out bombs and they are also good company.

  2. History • They served since World War I • They guarded perimeters and led combat patrols • They were originally used for Quarter Master Corps

  3. Kinds of Dogs • 32 breeds used in World War II • People donate dogs to war • Mainly German Shepards and Labrador Retrievers are used for war

  4. Amazing Facts • 3,747 dogs were used in the Vietnam war, but only 204 lived • A war dog memorial is in New Jersey • They go on multiple missions

  5. Conclusion • When someone brings up the Army, try not to only think about the soldiers and the weaponry. Think about the dogs. • They are just as important as the rest of the military. • They should be referred to as soldiers.
