Background of True Blue Created in 2007 Fan Base of the University at Buffalo Bulls Athletics teams Ran by students Largest club on campus with over 10,000 members Free to sign up and gives away prizes at athletic events Based on bringing pride, spirit, tradition and enthusiasm to students at UB
  3. Business Problem The current system is an excel file that only includes a member’s name, e-mail address, key tag number, and total points. At events, a members key tag is scanned in order to give them a point for attending. This process isn’t used to draw any conclusions, it is only used for tracking points on the students behalf. It is not specific to which events or games they were at.
  4. Database Design Overview The business value that the database is going to create is an easier way to solicit True Blue. See who is attending exactly what activities, that way the True Blue Executive Board can see who to target for certain events The database will take advantage of which games, activities and promotions are successful and which ones are not. True Blue will have a more efficient and organized system, so we can more easily create reports to draws decisions from.
  5. User Interface Design The switchboard is different from managers to employees, where employees can not view the old records but managers can.

  7. Conclusion & Questions Overall, we believe that our database will help True Blue have a better business value by providing informative information such as what promotions are working, who is attending the games, and what will help True Blue be more prosperous. QUESTIONS?!
