EDTC -6323-60Multimedia/HypermediaFall 2011Part 2Final Presentation What is the terminal or ultimate goal of the project (within the timeframe of this course)? Tell the class what you planned to accomplish. The terminal goal is have a fully functional Records Management Training Site where University employees can go at any time of the day or night from any location around the university or even at home, and be able log into the Records Management Site and complete training. Another terminal goal is to have university employee’s take an assessment where the results of the assessment can be emailed to me and to the employees after completing all four assessments. What I had plan to accomplish with time is to have a fully functional site, if anything else get with IT folks here at the university and continue to develop a training site for the future. .
EDTC -6323-60Multimedia/HypermediaFall 2011Part 2Final Presentation What have you accomplished in your course project? Describe it. There are two goals that I being able to accomplish this semester or gather better ideas for the future of the Records Management training site, and the assessments site. First is the type of media in which I will be developing the training site from the use of Camtasia to use of PowerPoint. I being able to learn from my mistakes this semester and at this point have better ideas that will be using soon. Second the development all forty questions in which there are 10 per form and answers from matching, true, and false to multiple choice questions.
EDTC -6323-60Multimedia/HypermediaFall 2011Part 2Final Presentation How does the end product differ from your initial plan? During the Design phase I expected to be more like a web site that include links to different part of the training. Each link would lead you to another web page for example if you would hit the link for Records of Inventory Worksheet it would take to that particular web page. Each Page would have had an introduction to the training, once you have completed the introduction then you would have pressed another link to down load the Records of Inventory Worksheet. Once you had down loaded the Records of Inventory Worksheet you would then precede with step number 3, then it would take you to a video tutorial. Once you have completed the video tutorial the final step would have being taking an assessment. Once you finished with the assessment then would have press a Submit button which in turn would give you the results from the assessment at that moment. The reality of this happening once I got down to needy greedy became a reality this was not going to happen, the time to design the web site go through testing was not to have enough time for this semester.
EDTC -6323-60Multimedia/HypermediaFall 2011Part 2Final Presentation Tell the class about your rationale for the instructional design by using one of your multimedia components as an example. By using Camtasia I was able to create and produce a video explaining the step by steps on how to fill out a Records of Inventory Worksheet. Why the use of Camtasia the software gives me the opportunity to record what is actually being done on the computer screen not only was I am able to record on screen but I was able to emphasize on particular areas on the screen by using the Zoom option and finally being able to insert links and callouts.
EDTC -6323-60Multimedia/HypermediaFall 2011Part 2Final Presentation What lesson(s) have you learned from this course project? Gathering all the information needed for example overviews, video, and keeping a cheat for the links. Making sure to follow a storyboard, a sub storyboards because when putting things in a place I have learned that other pages had to be created just add other contents such as quizzes.
