  2. Printing Reports • In this session you will learn how to run a report • How to Save a report if you version of software allows • How to Export a report if you version of software allows • How to print a report • Configure and understand the effects of shifts

  3. Printing Reports Select the New Report Icon from the toolbar or File and then New

  4. Printing Reports Firstly enter the Start Date either typing into the date box or from the Calendar by clicking on the down arrow. Do the same for the Stop Date Enter Start/Stop times

  5. Printing Reports Chose the appropriate shift to filter out data not to be included. This might include hours when the business is closed

  6. Printing Reports Chose the appropriate Report Template to be used

  7. Printing Reports Click OK to run the report

  8. Saving Reports When the report has collated and is visible on the screen you can Save the report

  9. Saving a Report Select the Save Icon from the toolbar or File and then Save As

  10. Saving Reports At this point you can name the report and select a folder to save the file in. Click Save. It will be saved with a .rep file extension

  11. Exporting Data • Export • If you want to process the data then you can Export if your software version allows it • The data is saved a comma delimited file. • It will have a .txt file extension

  12. Exporting Data When the report has collated and is visible on the screen you can Export the data

  13. Exporting Data Select the Export Icon from the toolbar or File and then Export As

  14. Export Data At this point you can name the report and select a folder to save the file in. Click Save. It will be saved with a .txt file extension

  15. Printing Reports When the report has collated and is visible on the screen you can Print the report

  16. Printing Reports Select the Print Icon from the toolbar or File and then Print

  17. Printing Reports At this point you can select a printer and define which pages you want to print

  18. Shifts • Shifts • Shifts must be configured to be used • Used to filter out data for unwanted periods of time

  19. Configuring Shifts Select the Configurator (wrench) Icon from the toolbar or File and then Configurator

  20. Configuring Shifts You will be required to log on at this stage

  21. Configuring Shifts Select the Miscellaneous tab and then the Shifts button

  22. Configuring Shifts Type a new shift name and click Add to add a new shift to the configuration

  23. Configuring Shifts Type in the print name for the shift. This will appear in the top left hand corner of every page when this shift is used

  24. Configuring Shifts Check the box for every day that the shift is to be operational

  25. Configuring Shifts Configure the times that the shift will cover. Shifts can have up to two start and stop times

  26. Configuring Shifts Select the column header to configure all start/stop times to be the same. When finished click OK

  27. The effect of using Shifts • Shifts • Filters out data outside the shift in use • The 24 Hour shift will include every day, 24 hours per day. • The Working Day will eliminate data collected when the business is closed
