  2. Objectives • To provide Directors an opportunity to review draft MEP State profiles, and • To allow Directors time to discuss and provide feedback regarding the format, color schemes, and graphics of draft MEP State Profiles.

Background • CSPR Data Collection – Child Count, Eligible Students, Services, Projects and Personnel. • Stakeholder Input: • How Can We Improve Program Performance Measures? • How Can We Improve Data Quality and Lower the Data Burden? • What Analyses and Tools Can Inform MEP State Directors in the Creation of a State MEP CNA and Development of a SDP?

  8. Each table has a copy of the proposed State Profiles at the table. • Each participant will receive a 1-2 pages of the State Profile at a time to make comments on. • We’re looking for your feedback about the format, color schemes, and graphics. Process for DRAFT MEP State Profile Review

  9. Process for DRAFT MEP State Profile Review 4. You will have time to make comments on all the pages through a timed carousel of 3 minute periods. 5. When you hear the chime, your time will be up on the 1-2 sheets of paper you have and you will pass your commented sheets to the person to your left and will receive new sheets to make comments on. The cycle will continue until everyone has had the chance to make comments. 6. If you see a comment on the sheet you agree with add a check mark (√) or if you don’t agree with a comment you see add an (X) to save yourself some time.

  10. Process for DRAFT MEP State Profile Review • At the end of the carousel, we will have each person sitting at the table summarize the comments on the sheets they have in front of them to the rest of the table. • As each person summarizes their sheet, the table should have discussions on contentious aspects or explain anything that might be unclear to others. • The recorder at each table will take notes from the table to share with the Data Evaluation Team at OME.

  11. What Are We Reviewing? • Format. What would you change in terms of the way elements are displayed? • Call-out’s • Larger/smaller fonts • Bolded information • A different way to display the content, i.e., graphic v. table • Color Schemes. Can you see differences in color between adjacent sections of the graphic? • Graphics. Do you prefer another chart (bar, column, pie, line, etc.)? If so, why?

  12. Summary - MEP State Profiles • General information and charts. • Data tables that populate the charts. • An in-depth analysis that assists the MEP Director to identify MEP strengths/weaknesses.
