  8. HOW TO DESIGN MY GRADE 10 TIMETABLE? • 6 compulsory courses (Civics/Careers is one course, pick both) • 1 group credit (group 1, 2, or 3) • 2 optional or elective courses • 9 courses (10 with band)

Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSM) Programs What is a SHSM? • Certification and in-depth training in a chosen employment sector • Student will take a bundle of credits • Taken in Grade 11 and 12 • One semester at host school • Coop required • Remaining credits at home school • Red Seal on OSSD

SUMMERSCHOOL • Details are not available until mid April • Only offered in the month of July • Makeup courses are usually available for compulsory subjects must have 35% to be eligible • Maximum of 2 make-ups • Reach Ahead courses are only for students who have earned a 70% in the required prerequisite course • For your course contract, plan to take Makeup courses in the summer Note: Summer Co-op is available for students who have complete GLC2O (Career Education)
