  3. September 11,2001 • Planes crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. • One of the planes crashed into a field • in Pennsylvania. • Nearly 3,000 died in this these attacks.

  4. George Bush vs. Eminem • In 2001 a poll found that American youth found more trust in Eminem than George Bush. 53% to 47%!!!!!!!!!

  5. Beatles • 2001 • Beatles have a chart-topper after 30 years ago when they broke up. • The Beatles’ lead guitarist George Harrison dies of lung cancer.

  6. American Idol • American Idol is started in 2002. • Kelly Clarkson is the first American Idol. • About 50 million viewers tuned into the show’s finale.
