Philosophy • Mobility is a economic problem • There is a relation between the accessibility of an area and the economic potential in that area. • location accessibility is measured intravel time (distance, modal split and travel facilities) of the traffic and transport (persons and goods) that is related to the core business!!

  4. Funding PUBLIC • Funding from government, out of taxes • Location based, (sustainable) transport taxes • Funding within tender contracts • Direct income from advertising • Income from real estate • Income from employers • Income from employees / users PRIVATE

  5. Government Funding + investment power + combination with regulation en policy • Vision / long term strategy • Level of support / behavior changes

Specified taxes • Versement transport + Direct link between income and funding - Low level of support • Business improvement Districts Voluntary private levy, collected by Local government as base for service level agreements + high level of support • SLA from government site +/- startup is voluntary • PPS mobility funds

PPS Mobility Funds • 8 BID’s and the City of Roermond are creating a mobility fund: • Public Private Partnership • SLA on the contribution on sustainable transport • Income from the BID’s, the City of Roermond and !!extra parking Levy!! • PPS Delft (City and employers) • Shuttle bus; travel information; extra benefits for bus passengers; Smart P+R; Parking budget; e-scooter pool, et cetera

Funding strategy PUBLIC • Sustainable transport is environment friendly transport as part of a robust transport system. • Accessibility is a Public Private problem and needs a PPS cooperation in solutions and funding. • Needs Vision, strategy and partners to agree on responsibilities who dare to make decisions to develop solutions!!
