Multinational Corporation • Definition: A corporation that has facilities in at least one other country than its home country. • Influences on economy, politics, and the public • Economy: high employment, sales equivalent to 30% of the world’s GDP • Politics: relocate their facilities to developing countries- tax labor and environmental restrictions • The Public: advertisement and marketing allows for public and corporate interest

Impacts • Developing Countries: Improve foundation through Investment • Beneficial to less developed Countries • Direct effect on conscious government • jobs increase, consumer spending increases, tax base grows and health care is more widely accessible. • No other reliable way to improve the social, economic, and political environment of a state than by allowing a MNC to invest.
