  17. PROGRESS REPORTS Progress reports will be mailed the week of the following dates.

  18. REPORT CARDS These report cards may be picked up during Parent-Teacher Conferences from 12—6:15 p.m. These report cards will be mailed to parents and issued to students after the following dates.

CPS GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS • 24 Credits Needed to Graduate • 4 in English • 3 in Science • 3 in Math • 3 in Social Studies • 1 Oral and Written Communication ** • 1 in Technology • 2 in a World Language • 2 in Fine Arts – Music (1) and Art or Drafting (1) • 2 in Physical Education • 3 in Electives + (4 additional college prep electives ***) • 40 Service Learning Clock Hours • 20 hours by end of sophomore year. Refer to specified deadlines. • 60 Service Learning Clock Hours for Scholars • 30 hours by end of sophomore year. Refer to specified deadlines.

  20. STUDENT I.D. POLICY • When entering the school, the student ID must be worn and visible at all times. • I.D. pictures will be distributed to the students during the first week of school. • If the student forgets or misplaces an I.D., a temporary I.D. must be worn. • Temporary I.D.’s are $1 and are valid for the day of purchase.

  21. ANNUAL ATHLETIC FEE Students participating in athletics are required to pay the following fee(s):

  22. Freshmen Sports Orientation and Registration Tuesday, September 11, 2012 (6:00 pm to 8:00 pm)

  23. FREE/REDUCED LUNCH FORMS • Free/Reduce Lunch Form. • This form must be completed ASAP

  24. Close Campus • Students WILL NOT be allowed to go off of campus for lunch.

  25. FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL • Required Items: • $200 Student Fee (if not already paid) How: CASH, Cashiers Checks made payable to Von Steuben MCS or credit cards. • Medical Health record (Especially if participating in athletic teams) • Notebook and pencil or pen • Backpack without wheels • $5 Master Lock fee for gym locker purchased at Von Steuben • Recommended Items: • CTA bus cards will be sold near lunch room • Cellular Phone Request Form • Room 118 or downloaded at www.vonsteuben.org • $28 Physical Education Uniform Fee if not already purchased • Optional P.E. clothing $16 for sweat pants, and $12 for long sleeve shirts. These can be purchased in the gym.

  26. First Day of School Tuesday, September 6, 2011 8:30 a.m. Start time for all students. Freshmen student will report to the auditorium. Students will attend all of their classes, meet their teachers and be dismissed at 3:35 p.m.

  27. First Week:Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 a.m. Start time for all students. Freshmen student will report to the auditorium. Students will attend all of their classes, meet their teachers and be dismissed at 3:40 p.m.
