4. Unit Cost of Transportation Alliance is working with Gregg Engineering on a no-cost Pilot Project (G+) to study historical data, looking for cost efficiencies between AOS and fuel consumption
Results are expected later this summer, if the software can demonstrate cost savings we will likely look to implement a solution to optimize daily unit costs
5. Reducing Overall Fuel Continue looking for cost-conscious fuel saving initiatives
Unnecessary pressure drops and temperature inefficiencies offer many potential projects
We are working through the list of the ones that provide the most value for the lowest cost
6. Increase AOS Continuous improvements in maintenance planning through reduced hours of downtime are keeping annual AOS at very high levels
If the G+ project is successful, it will allow us to further optimize AOS scheduling
7. AOS Determination The following factors are considered when determining AOS:
Linepack
Shipper & OBA imbalances
Ambient & Ground Temperatures
Outages
8. AOS Posting Times AOS is generally posted by 9 p.m. the night before, prior to cycle 1
An operational meeting is held at 7:30 a.m.
If any operational issues are identified that would change AOS then an email, critical notice and phone calls are made prior to 7:45
Every effort is made to leave AOS the same for the gas day
If an outage is completed early every effort is made to release the available capacity as soon as possible

11. Canadian Receipt Entitlement Background
To maximize through put we need optimal linepack conditions
Coming into an outage, reduction of receipts doesnt always happen which causes the lateral system to be packed
After the outage Offered AOS may be lower to allow for the lateral linepack to return to optimal levels

The Tariff allows for pipeline to reduce nominations if imbalances are out of tolerance
Since August 2004 we have been manually cutting receipts when it appeared that receipts would be too high and shippers imbalances were outside of tolerance
On May 3rd 2005 we released the automation of this process

Imbalance Adjustment is based on the best information available
Worst case is Opening Imbalance for yesterdays gas day
Best case is CSR/Shipper agreed to position reflecting yesterdays business and todays expected business

Currently allowing for additional entitlement based on CC
Amount could vary from zero if the lateral is very packed up to not restricting at all if shipper imbalances are in line and the lateral linepack is where it should be

16. Kerrobert Waste Heat Project The project may be summarized as follows:
KWHP is a place card name for the purpose of this discussion.
KWHP power sale and connection agreements are in place with revenues based on energy delivered.
KWHP equipment purchase and construction agreements are in place with a forecast in-service date of spring 2007.
17. Kerrobert Waste Heat Project KWHP will be owned and administered as a business separate from Alliance Pipeline.
Alliance Pipeline will be compensated for any cost consequences of KWHP.
KWHP will pay fair market value for waste heat, as confirmed by Requests for Proposals and NEB guidance on TransCanada projects of a similar nature.
No disruption to Transporter services as a consequence of KWHP is forecast and no alteration to Alliances operating regime is required by the KWHP arrangements.
