  2. Introduction  Have you ever wondered what sports are played in China? They play many sports. A lot of pro players from China play sports in the US. For example Yao Ming a center for the Houston Rockets in the NBA. Though there are more sports in the US than in china, some sports aren’t played in china and the US, but some are played both in China and the US. For example baseball, basketball, rugby, and a few more are played both in China and the US. Come fly with me because we’re going to China to see the wonderful sports they play.

  3. Ancient and Modern Sports There always have been ancient sports in China. For example, Cuju, an ancient form of football from China. The sports have developed and got better. Chinese people enjoy the modern sports better.

  4. Uncommon & Common Sports China has a lot of sports, but most of them are uncommon. For example baseball, rugby, bamby, and way more. Though a lot of sports are uncommon some are very common. For example table tennis, football, badminton, chess, basketball, and a few more. Some sports that are uncommon are uncommon because not that many people follow or like the sport that much. Sports that are common are common because people like the sport and follow the sports.

  5. Badminton Badminton is one of the most popular sports from China. China is one of the few countries that badminton is popular. Often people that play badminton in China would move to the US to play badminton professionally. People that play badminton in China would participate in badminton tournaments all over the world! The great thing about badminton is that the equipment is really cheap! So it’s easy to buy equipment for badminton! A lot of badminton players in China became famous. For example Lin Dan, Yu Yang, Li Xuerui, Wang who is one of the most popular female badminton players from China. Then you have one of the best in the world. She’s the fourth best in the world! Pi Hong Yan!

  6. Football Football is really popular in China. It’s the most popular spectator sport in China. It’s even one of the most well supported sports in China ever since it was introduced in the 1900s. Around 50 BC there was a sport very similar to football in China. A lot of people in China like football. There are many fans! One of the most famous chinese football players is named Long Ding.

  7. Basketball is very popular in China. Some people from China play in the NBA!-National Basketball Association. For example Yao Ming, a player for the Houston Rockets in the NBA. The game was introduced to China by American YMCA workers in 1896, just 5 years after, the Canadian Dr.James Naismith had invented the game while working for the YMCA training school in Springfield, Massachusetts.   8. Chinese Table Tennis Table Tennis is called ping pong qiu in China. It is a popular and revered in China. Lots of Chinese people are professional at Table Tennis, for example, Wang Hoa, Wang Nan, Zhang Yining, Li Jia Wei, Chen Qi, Guo Yue, and Man Lin. Chinese Table Tennis was thrown into crises in the 1989’s.
