  1. Greetings in Japanese Let’s learn common greetings in Japanese! In each slide, you will see icon. Click on the icon to hear the pronunciation of each greeting. Then, practice saying the greetings. Some greetings have “plain” and “polite” versions. Plain forms are used among friends, family members, or colleagues, while polite forms are used to strangers and someone who is higher in status than you are. Now, let’s start the practice!

  8. Thank you (plain) Arigatoo ありがとう

  9. Thank you (polite) & You are welcome Doo itashimashite どういたしまして Arigatoo gozaimasu ありがとうございます

  11. Practice Japanese greetings are not too difficult, aren’t they? Now, let’s check if you remember the greetings and can say them properly. In the following slides, you will see pictures along with “callout” bubbles. Say the Japanese greetings that correspond to the callouts. When you press the spacebar, you will see the greetings in Japanese along with phonetic transcription in alphabets and the icon. By clicking the icon, you can hear the pronunciation. Check if you can say the greetings properly. Are you ready?
