1. Malaysia is a premier shopping destination in Southeast Asia. Malaysians love shopping, which explains the vast number of luxury malls, stores and street-side stalls in the capital, Kuala Lumpur. ➊ CHINATOWN (PETALING STREET)KL’s Chinatown is a bustling and colourful street of shops, restaurants and hawker stalls. Aside from the popular shopping district of Petaling Street, the nearby buildings, clan houses and temples contain evidences of the city’s built heritage. Among them are the Lee Rubber Building, Kwong Siew Association, Old High Street Police Station, Police Sikh Temple, Old China Cafe, Old Victoria Institution and Sri Maha Mariamman Temple ➋ CENTRAL MARKET– Located just across the Klang River from Daya Bumi Complex is "Pasar Seni" (Art Market). It was formerly the wet Central Market of Kuala Lumpur – hence the name today. There are several specialty shops selling handicrafts, antiques, curios, and works of local artists.

2. ➊JALAN TAR (TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN) The night market at Lorong Tunku Abdul Rahman is the famous one but it is held only on Saturdays. It's very open and has a great variety of things. It's the best night market overall but since its only held once a week it can be hard to catch. ➋MID VALLEY MEGAMALLhas something for everyone under one roof; movie fanatics, fashion and food “afficionados”, IT fans, bowling enthusiasts, charmed readers, health and beauty conscious and many more. It is an exciting discovery everyday. ➌SOGO DEPARTMENTAL STOREThis popular Japanese department store is a big draw among city dwellers for its diverse merchandise such as fashionwear, household items, electrical and electronics, even sports equipment. The store also offers a large selection of Japanese foodstuff.
