Land Features One of the soils of the Piney Woods are mostly acidic and have a smaller native fertility, while the other soil found in this ecoregion is found where clay has accumulated and have a high native fertility. Land Formations in the Piney woods region include the Sabine river, 200-500 feet in elevation, rolling hills,hardwood forest, and it is full of many contrasts
