As of January 4, 2009, the study of single-stage bunch compressor design and performance is ongoing, focusing on MM configuration and alternative ILC design options. Key developments include redesigning the diagnostic and matching sections, and the extraction line to accommodate a 4% energy spread post-compression. Coaxial coupling design for SC cavities is nearly complete, addressing RF kick and wakefield concerns. Multipactoring analysis, mechanical design, and magnetic stray field analysis are underway, alongside software upgrades and calibration tests. Significant progress has been made with CHEF simulations benchmarking against Lucretia.
