  2. Has Man Outgrown The Gospel? Not Unless He Has Found A Better Food For The Soul • We all outgrow baby food, needing more substantial nourishment cp. Heb 5:12-14 • We are to hunger & thirst for, desire the spiritual food Mt 5:6 1 Pet 2:2 • It can only be found in one place Rom 1:17

  3. Has Man Outgrown The Gospel? Not Unless He Has Found A Better Food For The Soul • The necessity of “soul food” is seen in Jn 6 • The 5,000 want more physical food vv. 1-14, 26 • Jesus encouraged spiritual food vv. 27, 32-33, 35, 48, 50-51, 53-56 • Peter identifies this food vv. 66-68

Isa 5:20 • Sin will always be what it has always been: deadly1 Jn 3:4 Jas 4:17 Rom 14:23

  8. Has Man Outgrown The Gospel? Not Unless He Has Found A Better Way To Give Life Meaning & Purpose • We think our “enlightened” culture is what makes life meaningful • Nothing else but the gospel of Christ can make life complete 2 Tim 3:16-17
